Vision Statement We feel called to serve
the children of the Holy Cross School Family. Our goal is to form these
children as they grow from Pre-Kindergarten through eight grade. They are entrusted to our care, and we wish
to accept the obligation of providing them with all they need to become
morally, socially, and educationally accomplished. To achieve this goal we
provide an education that offers quality academic programs. We also
provide an environment in which they are instructed and informed
in the beliefs, values, and traditions of the Catholic Faith. Our mission must
permeate all of our efforts as we guide our children in the learning
experience. We wish them to develop a love, respect and loyalty for
their God, their parents, and one another. Holy Cross strives to
develop a positive self-image in our children in order that they might be
psychologically, physically, and mentally whole. Ultimately, with
God's help and our efforts, these children will one day be fully developed
members of the church and society.

News and Events
At the end of the school year, in June 2009, Holy Cross School will be closing its doors. The children currently attending Holy Cross are being offered the opportunity to continue their Catholic education by attending a new school, designed to accommodate the children of the six parishes of the West Hudson area. The new school, Mater Dei Academy, will be located at the site of the building that previously housed St. Stephen's school in Kearny.
